When Volunteers of America was founded, a “volunteer” was someone whose vocation was to serve others through a commitment to a mission. Today, we are still staffed by mission-driven professionals working to support individuals and build thriving communities, only now we call them “employees.”

A huge thank you to a local Girl Scouts troop 259 in Sebring for organizing a food drive benefiting our Sebring Drop-In Center! Led by one of our participants, the troop collected nearly $600 worth of food donations to help support individuals experiencing food insecurity in our community.![]()
