Our Success Stories

Melody & Ethan

Melody and Ethan are part of our Tampa area program that houses and serves families. Melody is a wonderful mom and Ethan is a fantastic kid. Because of your support, they have received the services and hope they needed. Melody will now serve on Volunteers of America of Florida’s Board of Directors. She will give outstanding insight into how to best serve families in need throughout Florida.

Teresa

Teresa was born & raised in Florida and is an Army Veteran. She served in the military for many years. After her service, she lost her civilian job and was on the brink of homelessness. Thankfully, Teresa had heard about Volunteers of America of Florida and was able to secure housing and utilize the available services we provide. Teresa now has a full-time job again, a safe place to live, and is an avid volunteer who believes strongly in giving back to her fellow veterans. There is no better gift this holiday season than to be able to serve those who have served.

Andres

Andres and his wife were homeless for years and suffering from mental illness. With your support, Volunteers of America of Florida was able to provide him & his family with a safe home and the support they needed to become independent again. This year, after 8 long years of hard work, Andres and his wife are both healthy, have secured jobs, and were able to get their own home near family.
