We continue to pray for everyone being affected by #HurricaneMaria! Many of the #VOAFL team members have friends and family living in Puerto Rico including our President/CEO Janet Stringfellow. We continue to be updated from the Puerto Rico program and will be ready to assist them with whatever they need once this hurricane is over!

Lord, we come to you Father for safety, protection, and wisdom. We saw how you sheltered us from Irma and Lord we ask that you do the same for Puerto Rico and all the islands affected by Maria. God help us at VOAF for this storm and the aftermath, use us Lord to help those in need; in your Son’s we pray, Amen.

#VOAFL is extremely thankful for the ongoing support of homeless Veterans from Cocoa Beach Elks Lodge 2387. The Welcome Home Kit program has changed the lives of over 100 Veterans within our Cocoa program. Providing Veterans the opportunity to go shopping for their basic housing items before moving into permanent housing they can make their house feel like a home.

Are you part of an Elks that would be interested in doing something similar to this? Please reach out to the Cocoa Beach Elks Lodge 2387 (www.elks.org/lodges/home.cfm?LodgeNumber=2387), they have amazing data and information on how you can get started with giving back to Veterans in need!

Please take a moment to watch and share this inspiring video.

There is power in prayer – please join together with our programs to pray for Puerto Rico and all those in the path of hurricane Maria and those still recovering from Harvey and Irma. Together we are stronger.

A prayer from our Chaplain Vanessa Pena - Lord, we come to you Father for safety, protection, and wisdom. We saw how you sheltered us from Irma and Lord we ask that you do the same for Puerto Rico and all the islands in the path of Maria. God help us at VOAF prepare for this storm and the aftermath, use us Lord to help those in need; in your Son’s we pray, Amen.
