Join us on September 23, 2017 at 8:30 AM at Ironwood Golf Course for a tournament to raise funds for the North Florida Supportive Services for Veteran Families Program.

The 2nd Annual Volunteers of America of Florida Golf Tournament is raising funds for the North Florida Supportive Services for Veteran Families Program. The primary goal of the Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF) Program is to help Veterans and the Veteran families who are homeless or at risk of homelessness regain or maintain housing stability. The SSVF Program provides low income Veterans and Veteran families with Case Management and Temporary Financial Assistance in order to transition successfully into self-sufficiency.

Self Care & support systems are extremely important... especially for care givers. And VOAF team members are some of the most caring givers around. So it's wonderful when they take time to care for themselves and get together as a team! Check out the Hillsborough Team doing just that on their recent team trip to the local Strawberry Festival. What an awesome lookin' group, right?! 😉
Thank you Hillsborough & VOAF team members state-wide for all that you do, including taking care of one another. 💕

In the spirit of Volunteers of America Founders Week and Women's History Month #DYK that a nickname for Maud Booth, one of our co-founders, given to her by those she helped in prison, was the “Little Mother of the Prisons?” More than 123 years later, we still champion the humane treatment of prisoners and provide services to help offenders successfully transition from prison to productive life in the community.
